My daughters blanket. I finished it a long time ago. It was a joy to make. I looked at a picture of a pattern I liked (see my previous post) and just guessed. I made it my own. I absolutely love how it turned out.
Since I finished it (maybe two years ago?), she still loves it. Now, she's not a blanket kind of girl. She's a little furnace and kicks off anything you put on her. So that being said, I'll take what I can get. It's still one of her favourites. It's too big for her to carry around as it fits her single bed with room to spare. But she doesn't have a security item anyway. She never has. It's big and heavy. But it will last and she loves it. And that's all that matters to me.
When my kids ask for something, and I can make it for them it's one of the best feelings. Having a hobby that keeps my kids warm and gives them joy means so much. It also is a means to help bring in some extra income to the household. It helps me feel like I'm contributing while being able to stay home and be there for my kids.
