Everybody!
I have been hit by some new inspiration! I go on Pinterest all the time for my inspiration and had pinned a few things for my daughters room. I had chosen a colour scheme but it just wasn't coming together. Then I saw this picture! I immediately fell in love. I changed the colour scheme and ran with it. I went into her room and was able to picture what it would look like finished. Which is very hard for me to do. I'm not good at this decorating thing.

So, of course I started her a blanket it! I am loving how it's coming along. If you want to watch the progress and see her actual blanket follow me on my instagram at www.instagram.com/ewenmeboutique/
I got my inspiration for her blanket off of pinterest of course. This picture is what I found. I loved it. But after a short lazy search for the actual pattern I came up empty handed. So I made up my own pattern based on the picture. It's not exactly the same. But that's good! I like it, it's mine because I made it.
I'm liking the colours and the blanket. I feel they will grow with her and will last her longer then something more babyish.
I'm also working on a string art piece with her name on it. I used an old pallet I had found. My husband had already dismantled it from making me something else from it. So I took the pieces I need from what was left. I sanded them, primed them, mixed the colour paint I wanted and painted it! I am at the part now where it's nailing in the 8 million nails to form her name. So it's slow going and not much to see.
I also plan on making a thick animal throw rug for her room. I have a few pinned but no decisions on which animal yet. With the colours I'm using I'm leaning more towards a butterfly. But we'll see! :)
