My family. How grateful am I for my truly wonderful family. They mean the world to me and are the very reason I breathe.
My husband may not understand my need to knit and crochet, but he is an ever supportive partner. With every new purchase of yarn, I get a very long suffering look along with the words 'more yarn'. It's never really a question, it's a statement. When I mention that I need it for an order, he pauses, purses his lips and gives me a head nod. He's never angry with my endless need for yarn, but he does get frustrated at times. But, I can't bring myself to blame him. After all, I have a heap load of yarn. For this I will always be thankful for my ever loyal, loving, long suffering husband, who puts up with my quirks and loves me anyway, unconditionally..
My dearest son. He turned 4 this past summer. It's been hard to believe for me. He is now in J/K which for us is all day everyday of the week, but he loves it! Although I feel much more accomplished at home with him gone all day, I miss him something fierce!
He will always come to me when I need him to try something on that I'm making. He asks if it's for him, but never seems disappointed if I say no. He is the reason I started my business. He is the reason I do what I do. He is the reason I love to craft. When I am able to make something that he has asked for and then when he loves to wear it? This brings me great satisfaction. He will always tell someone who asks that his mommy made it for him! Good sweet kid! =)
My need to craft and desire to help at least a little with finances has led me to start designing my own patterns as well. I only have a few so far, but I have a few in the works to right now. I would love to one day have enough patterns in my personal collection to be able to support my family while staying home and taking care of the household. Not by myself, but at least enough so that my husband isn't the sole supporter, I want to be able to shoulder some of that financial burden as well.
